Two sections below — what you share outward, and what James shares with you. Each of you controls your own sharing independently.
People in your family
You and James are Sam's personal representatives.
As Sam's parents, you have full access to his health record under HIPAA. This will continue until Sam turns 12, when some categories may become private to him under DC law.
You and James are Olivia's personal representatives.
Olivia is 15. Mental health, reproductive, substance use, and STI care are private to her under DC law. You can see everything else.
What you share with James
You decide what your spouse can see. Changes take effect immediately. You can revoke any category at any time without notice to them.
